A Must Have to Understand Addiction
I think we all know of someone close that is or has had an addiction. I have lived it in my family and a lot of what is outlined in this audiobook rings true, from the explanation of the Euphoria experienced by the addicted act to the feelings of guilt that come afterwards, and it's true, the person doesn't intend to hurt themselves or loved ones but they are caught up and at the mercy of the addiction. I learned a lot of how our mind works and how the addictive trigger takes over all else, blinding you to the negative effect of the instant gratification that will be attained with the addicted act. If you are in a situation yourself that needs some guidance on addiction this would be a great audiobook to listen to.
