About this listen

The aliens are here ... and they want municipal services!

Ashley Perrin is fresh out of college and starting a job as a community liaison for the Third District–the city’s only sector with more alien residents than humans. Ashley’s barely found where the paper clips are kept when she’s beset with constituent complaints–from too much noise at the Annual Lupidian Celebration Parade to a trip-and-fall chicken to a very particular type of alien hornet that threatens the very city itself.

And if that’s not terrifying enough, Ashley is next up at the office karaoke night.

It's Parks and Recreation meets the Federation of Planets in this fast and funny audio exclusive by Hugo Award winner and Audible best seller John Scalzi.

short but fun! want more about these characters and office!

Just flat-out fun and very inventive. A great quick listen with excellent narration. I really think it would be a great tv series - either live action with CGI or even as an animated serial (are you listening Netflix/ Apple÷÷ Plus/Prime Video/Paramount Plus??). I totally fell in love with these characters. Scalzi does it again! please write more like this!

fun, short but fast paced....enjoyable

I was surprised by the easy going story, which, i will confess, was a bit odd and seemed to be headed for nonsense....but I found myself enjoying every chapter, and looking forward to the solution regarding the moonpups..... Hoping for a part 2.

So much fun.

I really liked it. Scalzi just writes fun, relatable characters, and honestly he writes women better than most women do. This is a quick book but the plot and characters are great, the pacing is good, I have no complaints!

The voice actor did a great job, too!!

Playful and sweet

If you’re looking for emotional depth and high-stakes drama, this is not the place. If, however, you’re looking for Scalzi humor driving sweet demonstrations of kindness in a silly alien world, stop reading my review and get the book. The performance and production are excellent.

Fun and clever, You know, standard Scalzi

John Scalzi often merges other worldly creatures with ordinary worldly problems. Constituent Service takes on city bureaucracy with alien issues. All slicing and dicing with that wit and light humor we’ve come to expect.

Write more please!

This was such a fun story. A nice break from what I've been reading. I loved the witty banter or the main character. This story makes me wish their was a office of the Constituent Service. I'd go and work there.
