About this listen
Imagine what you could do if you had a little more confidence. Would you take the next step in your career, set boundaries, ask for a raise, assume more leadership roles, or even run for office?
Doubt and imposter thoughts are a big reason women hold back and play small instead of going for what they truly desire at work. Coupled with the systemic gender equity issues and the resulting burnout that plagues women in the workplace today, it’s no wonder that so many women are undervaluing themselves and their capabilities.
These doubtful thoughts and systemic issues are expensive—they cost women (and their organizations) their peace, their potential, and their paychecks.
To close the confidence gap and see more women exceeding their full potential at work, we need more women leaders at the top of organizations. Closing the Confidence Gap will show you how to advance with confidence, despite the systemic issues that women face every day. You’ll hear profoundly personal stories and walk away with practical tools to show you how to claim your role as a confident leader. It’s time to own who you are, trust yourself, and take your bravest next step.

No Ego is about increasing awareness of just how often individuals are operating out of ego at work, breeding drama and discord rather than innovation and constructive collaboration. It is high time to reinvent leadership thinking. The current work experience is so full of emotional waste that it's seen as a foregone cost in today's business environments. Cy Wakeman teaches straightforward strategies in which this time and energy can be re-commissioned and put toward the value that hired talent is intended to provide.

Story
By the time we become adults, most of us have joined the religion of suffering, which preaches that unless circumstances are controlled, life will be a mess. We compare ourselves to others and speculate about an impossible-to-know future, holding out hope for an improved life through getting ahead, fulfilling passion, or finding true love. But the idea that happiness comes from putting effort toward altering one’s circumstances is harmful and backward. What if we instead learned to understand that circumstances can rarely be controlled, and that life is, and always will be, messy?

Finite games, like football or chess, have known players, fixed rules, and a clear endpoint. The winners and losers are easily identified. Infinite games, games with no finish line, like business or politics, or life itself, have players who come and go. The rules of an infinite game are changeable, while infinite games have no defined endpoint. There are no winners or losers - only ahead and behind. The question is, how do we play to succeed in the game we’re in? In this revelatory new audiobook, Simon Sinek offers a framework for leading with an infinite mindset.

This is EXACTLY the book that I needed right now
Love the content, the pacing, the depth, and that the author read this herself. So excited to see this type of book and topic broached by a powerful, driven, and professional woman. I didn’t get the “bro” vibes that so many personal development books have. This book is so relatable and incredibly important. I think this should be required reading for every C-suite leader.

Must read!
I’ve read what seems like every leadership / personal growth book out there and often times they miss the mark (flat and not enough rich story telling). This book is a MUST READ for anyone who wants to grow as a leader in the world. The story telling is excellent - full of heart and wisdom. And the narration is so easy to listen to.
Women and those who identify as women will come away with actionable tips to help you create a career and life you love. You’ll come away with knowledge on how to live into your values, reframe negative self-talk, own your unique strengths, trust your intuition and so much more!
Male leaders should also read this book to better understand how gender-conforming roles and biases lead to poor business outcomes. It’s time to rethink the way our workplaces systems have been built. This book has thoughtful ideas to help us examine what a new, more equitable workplace might look like.

Motivating and realistic guidance
Kelli gives actionable steps to help women realize their full potential. Lots of insightful ah-ha’s that are specific to women in navigating their careers and are often not covered in career guidance aimed towards a more general population. Very helpful, balanced, realistic and motivating.

A must-read for women
I loved this book. I’m a coach by profession, so I read a ton of leadership, self-development, and psychology books, and this is the best one I’ve read in a very long time. Kelli speaks directly to the listener’s deepest fears and insecurities about their own capabilities, hang ups, and limiting beliefs about stepping into their full leadership potential. I’ll also say that this book is extremely relevant to women who do not self identify yet as a leader. Kelli convincingly makes the point that by virtue of simply being a woman, you are in fact, a leader. I’ll be recommending this to all of my clients for sure.
