About this listen
A single hot tear broke from the corner of the preacher's right eye, challenging his ability to keep his composure. "I spent Friday night wandering in the wilderness, stumbling through the canelands down from our house, slipping and sliding and sometimes falling along the banks of the creek. When the first rays of dawn cut through, I was on my knees, worn out and burnt out. I tried to pray, the words would not come. Finally, I said, 'I am Yours, Father. Use me.'
"In that very instant I heard a voice speaking to my heart as when I was called to preach. My friends, the Lord has called me again. I am to go to Brownsville, Texas, to pray for the children. He has given me only one other requirement for this journey. I am to walk all the way there from here in Kentucky."

I loved the pace- hard to put down and kept me wondering if the story actually happened
Very touching story filled with compassion written from a faith filled perspective whose main character was eager and able to answer God’s call. That call drew a lot of support but was not easy and there were several problems that were handled so graciously that they could be called teachable moments. More of a realistic and inspiring story as true to life struggles and joys land on a compelling young couple who must deal with a horrible tragedy. Many people bond together while supporting and connecting to others they would never have otherwise. I absolutely fell in love with many of the realistic characters including Buckethead - the stray dog who just wasn’t going to go away. This book kept my interest all the way through full of the best kind of romance, old fashioned values, helpful ways to best deal with life plus a bit of mystery through the end. The best bonus by far is how it will open our minds and hearts about a huge crisis that currently plagues the USA
