Derek’s evasion of laws in the many lands he traversed has labeled him as a vigilante by some. Leaders around the world were concerned by The Adventurer’s free-roaming adventures.

Derek agreed to a deal with the U.S. Government to never become The Adventurer again, a deal which absolved him of any illegalities. The United States and the rest of the world realized that a new threat exists to its survival. If found by those with evil intentions, ancient artifacts of such great supernatural power could bring about a global catastrophe. Derek Calendine’s story as The Adventurer has prompted the U.S. and its allies to form a new agency to prevent such a dangerous event from happening again. A globalized police and security force dedicated to the acquisition and protection of such powerful relics once found. The world will not have to rely on someone like The Adventurer ever again.

In the destruction from the great battle between The Adventurer and Nightmare, a new villain was born. With a hatred that was already there for Derek Calendine, intensified by the shattering of his life, this new scourge will rise from the ashes to exact revenge on the man he blames for his scars. This new enemy, with a powerful ally, will shatter Derek Calendine’s world. Destroying Derek Calendine is the catalyst for a new state of control, creating a world free from the likes of The Adventurer.

As a new villain slowly takes shape to become a bringer of doom to Derek Calendine, a new artifact becomes the center of interest for an evil much greater than Nightmare ever was.
