Penny Bowden is finally beginning to feel at home after moving to Bellamy Cove, a small beach town on the outer edge of Cape Cod. As the summer heat finally breaks and fall approaches, she and the rest of the Bellamy Cove Baking Club are eager for the town’s annual Cranberry Festival, a celebration of the local cranberry farms.
On the day of the festival, Penny thinks her biggest problem is an uncooperative pony - that is, until she discovers a body drowned in the cranberry bog.
