I ADORE THE BLOOD ECSTASY SERIES AND TESSA DAWN

I'm 110% percent invested in the Silivasi vampyr family; Napolean the vampyre King; and the Kings Sentinel Guards. I have all 8 books in this series and am looking forward to the next one.

If you love The Black Dagger Brotherhood series you will love The Blood Ecstasy series. Blood Ecstasy is a completely different take on the vampyre world so clear your mind indulge and fall in love with Blood Ecstasy...I have.

This is the second book in the series that Eric Dove sings. I listened to Eric singing several times before I moved forward. Eric captivates the mood and I immersed myself and didn't come up for air until it was sadly over.

These books can be stand alone but I don't recommend it. The books do overlap somewhat and the Silivasi family, King Napolean and Sentinels are in every book. They live in Dark Moon Vale and fight evil vampyre's; evil humans; and shifters. They also have a human mate chosen for them by the Celestial Gods.

Since I have every book in the series you know I believe all the books are worth the credit or $$.

Fabulous read! Great BCS addtion!

Where does Blood Ecstasy rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

All of the stories in the BCS are amazing tales. When read by Eric Dove, they truly come to life in a spectacular way.

What other book might you compare Blood Ecstasy to and why?

Any fan of Dark Fantasy will enjoy this series and this installment. Those that enjoy the Black Dagger Brotherhood series or the Midnight Breed series should check this out!

Have you listened to any of Eric G. Dove’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have listened to Eric perform each of the BCS novels and each time it's better than the last. Each character comes to life, richer and fuller than before and the listener is completely drawn into Dark Moon Vale.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

As always, Tessa Dawn's work keeps me wanting more. Several scenes in the end shed new light on some existing characters and made me feel connected to them in interesting ways. I loved learning more about the thoughts and feelings of Julien and Braden.

Any additional comments?

Blood Ecstasy takes the reader on an intense emotional journey where we see Julien (and others) learn to accept and forgive himself and truly take stock in what is important in life. This series continues to be so much more than just a vampire novel. It continues to explore the complex emotions that we all experience and shows us how to love, understanding, acceptance and loyalty can help you overcome anything.

Really Good.....not quite up to the others though.

I liked this book a lot - the story line was good - but did not quite measure up to the others in the series. The narration was great and some fantastical new vampire powers as well as some heart to heart with substance.....really very good and well worth the credit.

Awesome read and Awesome narration..

Overall, this was a really good addition to the Blood Curse series. BUT I’m so tired of the author using the word “baby,” “baby girl,” or “babe.” It’s like she gives the heroine a name then forgets all about it. The “baby” word was used 47 times! Really? And when that wasn’t enough he called her “little mouse” 22 times. And “Angel” 33 times. Her name was REBECCA, for pete’s sake. (I just hate that.)

And let’s talk about Julian’s heroin use. Yuck! I know he couldn’t get addicted to it but the fact that he ran for it every time the sounds got too bad in his head was pretty disgusting, IMO. Seeing the hero stoned out of his mind was not all that attractive.

Now that I’m done with my rant let’s get down to it. It was soooo easy to hate Julien’s twin brother Ian. What an evil creep he was, but he got all that he deserved. As to Rebecca’s stalker, Trevor, of 5 years? Well, what Julien did to him was pretty gross. And the end of the book was what I was waiting for. ALL the abused women that Rebecca worked with, all the husbands, boyfriends and stalkers were taken care of by Saxson and Nachari. So, that was nice.

And speaking of Nachari he’s always been my favorite, the Master Wizard. I did like the others, too: Napolean, Ramsey, Braden, Saxson, Saber, and Santos. Great secondary characters.

There was one sex scene in this book. It wasn’t the usual kind but it fit with the story. There was no swearing to speak of, which I still find strange in a vamp book.

As to the narration: Eric Dove is fantastic! His male and female voices and emotions are awesome. AND his singing is wonderful, too.

Another great book to an awesome series!

Would you consider the audio edition of Blood Ecstasy to be better than the print version?

tough question! Love to read the actual book but Eric does such an awesome job that I could listen to him read this series to me over and over again.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I always think that I have a favorite then Tessa writes another character that is amazing! Julien is so mysterious and has so many issues that you can't help but fall in love with him. But Marquis will always be my Favorite in this series.

Which scene was your favorite?

That would be when Julien takes care of the stalker. Don't want to give too much away but I was giving Julien and Tessa high fives!

Tessa Dawn knows how to write and great book / series! Julien and Becca's story is fantastically written with such great detail that you can live this story with these characters. Feel their pain, heartbreak, hopes, and love. Eric G Dove does an amazing job with the narration that you don't want to stop listening to him. I recommend this book to everyone who is looking for a book/series to hold their interest. You will be hooked by the Queen of Dark Fantasy, Tessa Dawn!!

Dark, Beautiful, and Awesome!

What made the experience of listening to Blood Ecstasy the most enjoyable?

Two things really, first Tessa Dawn writes the most amazing stories and characters. She writes the kind of male character that you would willingly ditch your husband for and the kind of female character that you wish you could be. No ditzy girls for this author. Her female characters are all smart, strong, and sassy. Second Eric dove has the most amazing voice. It's like listening to velvet. His voice is just deliciousness to the ears and he brings the story to life in the most amazing way. Oh and you have to hear him sing! Hands down Eric Dove is one of the best voices I have ever heard on an audiobook.

What other book might you compare Blood Ecstasy to and why?

All of the Blood Curse Series books are amazing. If you like this genre you will not be disappointed. Tessa brings a whole new spin to vampire mythology.

Which scene was your favorite?

I will not give too much away but I like the beginning of the book where Julien first meets Rebecca. It is really not the ideal circumstance. Julien is hurting and it shows just how damaged he is. In a strange way it's kind of humorous. Imagine meeting the person fated to be yours at a time when she is really seeing you at your worst. It's my favorite because it really lays the whole situation bare and shows you how far the couple has to go to become a couple. It really gets you rooting for team Rebecca and Julien, and looking anxiously forward to seeing if they can both overcome their circumstances.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Dark, Dangerous, Sexy!

I can't say enough how talented Tessa Dawn is. I completely love this series and I hope she finds a way to continue it on for a very long time.

Fantastic Story! Excellent Narration by Eric Dove!

Wow! Another fantastic story in the series! If you haven't read/listened to this series you are missing out. They are all fantastic! Absolutely love this series and the world building and characters.

Loved Julien he was big, strong, handsome and just cool. I really liked his Destiny, Rebecca too. They made a great couple. She was strong and sick and tired of being a victim of a stalker. Enter Julien right on time. They did have some good chemistry together. There was attraction but really not much sex written, but this story isn't about that. So it was perfect.

The story line and plot was great. Loved that Julien had some demons he had to deal with from his back story. Rebecca had a good back story too. There is so much wonderful dialogue throughout the entire book. The constant action and things happening is fantastic. These stories are NOT full of filler nonsense and I love that. Always look forward to some great battles in these stories too.

As for the narration, IT WAS AMAZING! And OMG Eric Dove's singing is so great! He does such a wonderful job as a narrator, all the women sound like women. His reading voice is great and he reads with emotion which includes singing!

He brings the excitement with his voice that brings the characters to life! The different voices he dose for each character.

I am in Ecstasy over Blood Ecstasy !

Tessa Dawn you have done it Again !!!!

The book was worth the wait! I love the way you keep all of the characters involved in the drama even when they are not the central characters of the story. I especially love the way you make a way to emotionally heal Julien and then Braden, good job and perfect example of it taking a village to raise a child….no matter the species or age. Well done !

Love, mayhem and tear jerking ….and honor…god I love the honor. May be we should send some of your books to a few politicians, they could learn a few lessons from Napoleon.


Tessa your prequel cliffhangers are killing me…and this time you only reveal the next destiny but with a twist, and no indication of the warrior ! To quote Nachari Silivasi to Saber Alexiares….” Dude…you are so incredibly jacked up…. You do know this right !”

Lastly, Eric Dove’s narration of the story…man what can I say, his voice and intonations were created just to read your books. The man is flawless ! The two of you are like a fine beer in the perfect glass, magical.

I cannot wait to hear the next one!
