About this listen

When the fae invaded England with their armies and their magic, everyone felt like the world had changed overnight. It hadn’t. Especially if you were an Ironwood.

While humans lost their knowledge of magic and monsters, the Ironwoods have been fighting against evil for centuries.

While gods, fae, and magicians turned into tall tales and ghost stories, the Ironwoods became the stuff of legends themselves.

Now, with Morrigan’s Generals free again in the world, the Ironwoods are going to need all their training—and their new fae brothers—to stop them.

This box set collects all four stories of the Ironwood women as they get into plenty of trouble, slay their enemies, and find true love.

Please note: Ironwood contains adult content, including violence, swearing, and steamy sex scenes.

I need more of this world! it is addictive and I listened to the Wrath of the Fae Princes and then this one. I simply enjoyed the bad ass women. The men are not only okay with their women being strong but are willing to step back and let them be the heroes.

I had to start this book several times before I could finish, too many characters, and to top that, they also have nicknames and most of them are unique style names. I ended up having to slow down narration just to give my brain time to keep up with whose who and that didn't really happen until book 2. glad I stuck it out, I enjoyed the story tremendously by the end.

hard start, but glad I stuck it out

I love this series, so to have it in an audiobook format is just wonderful. The narration is great, especially the delivery for the banter and humor. And of course the stories are fantastic!

A perfect addition to Wrath of the Fae

it's probably good that her books aren't all in audible yet.. I'd have bought them all and gotten nothing accomplished until they were read. I love her writing! spicy, funny, keeps my attention, great storylines she's the best. I kept thinking everytime I started a new book; ok this one I'm not gonna like as much.. then nope! there she goes again! I don't usually like to re-read/listen to books but I have already done so with some of Thornes. She needs to be more popular/ awards all the things! my only compliant with these is I really wish she would have gotten the duel readers (male/ female) but Dryw did great nonetheless!

I need more! A. Thorn is amazing!

I jumped into this set of books immediately after the fae brothers set. I had lots of fun with this set as well. There were some very noticeable improvements and some gripes. I was most excited for erewon and Imogen's story and I was very disappointed that although I loved their premise, Loved there was no mating bond, and I thought Imogen's relationship with death was very interesting, her personality made her very unlikeable thus made me not fully enjoy their story. She really is too much. It also didn't make sense for her to be plus sized when she's described to be most similar to Brawn and she loves to hunt and train. The only sister where her being plus sized made sense was Layla, she didn't care for hunting or training and actively avoided it. It's drilled into our heads that the ironwoods walk out their diapers training and fighting. I love me a plus size lead but where it makes sense. On the same note as malnourished leads being great warriors.. I guess I have to stop questioning fantasy and just get lost in it. Nonetheless ; the steamy scenes were great in the previous book but even better in this book. They just kept getting better and better. Towards the end the author put the breaks on using misunderstandings to extend the plot and actually allowed her characters to talk like adults. Loved that. I enjoyed this set overall for the underlying story. Personally my favorite stories are Freya-Bane's, Brawn-Killian's and Ciera-Tor's. The others lean too heavy in their misunderstandings or just have unlikeable female leads but the male leads tend to save them. I will be reading / listening to more from Alessa nonetheless!

Fun fun!

Storyline was great. Narration was not bad. Just wish there was a bit more distinction between voices.

Great Story Line.

Honestly this book was a lot of fun. There were multiple times I actually laughed out loud. Everything was tasteful and even when I would have an eye roll moment with a character it was still charming and like I was rooting for them. the smut is beautifully written and doesn't consume the whole story which I appreciate.
It doesn't get horribly deep, but I'm certainly not mad at this book

felt warm and fuzzy with this book
