The second half of book 1
The story picks up where the first one left off and to me together it feels more like a complete story. Not to say the story ends because it is clearly left open for the story to continue in book 3. You do get used to the AI voice after a while and because the book is free I will not complain. I would much rather get a book like this for free/with membership then use a credit or pay a few bucks.
With that said the story is okay. The writing is pretty good in my opinion even if slowed by the robot voice at times. My biggest issue is with the direction and the counterdictions or oddities within the story. I am taken back by some of the suicidal decisions by background characters and odd choices main characters have which counter already established behavior. The ending was a bit disappointing which goes towards the odd story direction I was referring to earlier as well. There are worse zombie books out there, and may be worth listening to between credits if you enjoy the genre.

Awesome
I enjoyed book 2 as well as book 1. Both were free, but I am going to buy the rest of the books in the series because I have enjoyed the story so much. Oops! I just discovered that there are no more books in the series available for purchase. I will purchase them if they are written/recorded.
I wish there had been a talented real live narrator because it would have made the book even better. Having said that, I will add that this virtual voice performance was better than most I have heard.

virtual voice
virtual voice ruins books. Authors should read it themselves or have it read by a friend (or enemy since they couldn't screw it up more than virtual voice)
