Behind the scenes the country is in the process of being re-organised by a mysterious body called 'Order', but can they be trusted? And was it really worth leaving isolation for all of the dread, danger and general nonsense? Especially when you promised to finally read 'War & Peace' at the start of this all.

A suitably prescient story for our times, 'Basically Frightened' and its sequel 'Outside Looking Out', examines what ordinary people do in the face of isolation, conflict and the utterly absurd.
