Kirkville is situated on the eastern coastline of Ulster, County Down. There are several estates that are controlled by their masters, but not everyone is pleased by this authority, and who is charging them rent during a time when the famine is taking its hold. Olivia travels from her homeland of America to visit her cousin right here in this quiet little village, though she is soon to realise that her first opinions were but a skim across a very deep ocean.
Murder and mayhem ensue, and from the rich to the poor, there are suspects and victims, but who is friend or foe? Who can you trust when all around you are people who are not all that they seem?
