About this listen
All the more reason to reign in the spending, know what you are doing and make the best of what is hopefully a temporary situation for you. Now, if you are a senior citizen and on social security that keeps you in a tight budget your goal may not be to figure a way to increase your income but learn to live within what you have. Either, or this book can help young and old.
The advice given in the following pages are meant as suggestions. Not everyone will be able to implement every tip. Do what you are able to do and tweak some to fit your own personal situation. Some of the advice may seem a bit too obvious to you, but not to all.
I want to also acknowledge how we each practice being frugal can look different depending on which part of the country we live in. For example in the Midwest some of you might wash out your baggies and reuse them whereas in the southwest where water is trying to be conserved they would probably find some other way to save and be frugal. Just an example.
Before writing this book I read, perused, and glanced at many of the books about this very topic. There are so many already out there. One of the repeated reviews I read in many of the 200 or 300 page books was that “this book could have, should have been just 30-50 pages”. My take away from those comments was that most people just want the advice and please keep the long writing for another book. So, I decided just to get straight to the point and just share advice and even though Amazon defines this as an actual book, we all know it’s really a booklet and that’s okay. If it gives you some information you were seeking than it was worth the price and worth the short time it took to read it. Plus, I hope you may find yourself referencing in on and off over the next year to help you make decisions, or at least pass it on, if you bought the paperback, to a friend and perhaps it can also help them.
