Take Control of your Life

I felt like this was a counseling session that I could plug into on my time and my terms. What do you do when you feel scared, fearful and full of anxiety? What are your patterns? The stories in this book are real life and I found myself relating to parts of everyone of the stories. I loved this book. I needed this book.

Game Changer

Loved it! This book helps you identify fear in your life and how it is triggered. It helps you identify how your body responds, so you can intercept the respinse with different behaviors that makes new and healthy behavior patterns!

Take control of your life - here's how.

Mel Robbins delivers a brilliant book, jam-packed with practical advice, through real counselling sessions with real people who have real problems. I loved the honesty and authenticity of this book and could identify with almost all the people who shared their stories. Mel is insightful and challenges her clients (and her readers) to see through the clutter to discover the underlying causes of why we allow ourselves to become passive observers in our lives - rather than taking control and living with purpose. I took so many notes and had so many "A-ha!" moments, for which I am really grateful.

Wow!

I could truly relate to every person who shared their life experiences. Even though they were not exactly like mine, I could still find some connection and way to address it in my life with my perceptions of how things happened and how to change my patterns. I was able to take a deeper look into my fears of abandonment, my obsession with things and hoarding, and my fear of being called out in front of others. Life changing stuff! I also acknowledged for the first time that I suffer from PTSD, due to childhood traumas and being the victim of a crime that I never shared with anyone. I look forward to my therapy, which will be focused on EMDR. I never would have even known this was a thing for PTSD unless I had listened to this book. AMAZING 💜

Good Book but Tough

Great book but if you can strongly relate to some of the topics, some of the things she addresses is tough. Which is good. It just means you have room for growth and know what you need to work on. I've been in therapy for four years, so now we will be discussing some of my assumptions about myself from this book in our next session, lol.

Looking back

This book help me open wounds that I did not even know was there. To realize I can go out there and do whatever it is that energizes me. Thank you Mel. Did not realize the abuse as a child and then as an adult could cause me to be afraid. This book is amazing.
