About this listen

Before you start. I wrote this science fiction adventure in the hopes of leading young people into the joys of sci-fi possibilities and fun. But it's not limited to youth. I've encountered many older readers that felt the memories of their younger years. So, don't exclude yourself because it's about a genetically altered youth and his struggles in a world that's unique, yet troubled just as is our own.

In a mutant sci-fi world, the rebellious son of surface trader Captain Radoon Gydlin, endures dreams of places he hasn’t seen and disasters that haven’t happened. When he visits Below, a post-apocalyptic scorched earth, he encounters an overbearing prejudice toward the surviving genetically modified races. The links between dreams and reality trigger his desire to bring a change to the here and now and the future. But, as always, change never comes without a price. Destruction rages throughout the planet, consuming all in its path, including the land-dwelling post apocalyptic mutant society that inhabits it..

A Coming of Age Mutant Science Fiction

Depressed, frustrated, and defeated in his efforts to produce change, the genetically altered humanoid boards an airship bound for Academia, the floating center for Airborne educational growth. During the journey, he encounters a crazy manta ray scholar and an inquisitive mutant traveler with motivations that indicate hidden goals. While the scholar spouts nonsense, the romantically playful, Crystellia draws out a range of emotions never before experienced by the young Airborne mutant.

As the author, I wrote this mutant mystery tale in the hope of offering ya fantasy readers, and adult sci-fi fans, some of the joys I experience at twelve years old when I picked up my first epic science fiction novel. I've never forgotten those mind-teasing books. Thus, it is my pleasure to introduce readers to the exciting wonders of a genetically evolved life above the ruins of a planet inhabited by mutated creatures and humans.
