Useful information
I ready herbal remedies books before, but this audiobook offers something deeper; the book is backed by cultural traditions.
The author breaks down eight essential African herbs, like Moringa, showing how to use them as well as why they are effective.
In addition to remedies, the book explains the meaning behind the plants and their cultural significance.
Focusing on African herbs definitely makes this book stands out.

A Fascinating Look at Traditional Healing
I’ve always been interested in natural remedies, but I didn’t know much about African herbal medicine until reading this book. It introduced me to traditional herbs and their uses in a way that was both informative and easy to understand. I appreciated the focus on holistic healing and how these practices have been passed down for generations. The sections on tinctures and decoctions were especially helpful, and I’ve already tried a few simple remedies. If you’re curious about herbal medicine from a cultural and practical perspective, this book is worth reading.

I’ve already tried a couple of the herbal preparations, and they’ve been surprisingly effective. If you're curious about natural healing with deep cultural roots, this is definitely worth a listen.

Different medicine
I believe that African and American Medicine help people with their health issues. There is so much that I don’t know that needs to be addressed, and I am happy that this audiobook exists so that the more we learn, the more powerful we all can become as humans. Learning the tradition and connecting physical remedies with spiritual practices could benefit people who need them. I like that it helps people who have stress or anxiety and can help comfort people who are suffering. It’s a great book.

Ancient Wisdom Meets Modern Life
A practical guide that goes beyond just listing herbs and their uses! The deep dive into traditional African healing methods is fascinating, especially how it connects physical and spiritual wellness. I've started using some simpler remedies for stress and sleep, with surprisingly good results. I love how it explains the hot/cold energy classifications - it makes so much sense once you understand the system. Perfect for beginners but still has plenty of depth for those already familiar with herbal medicine. The sustainable harvesting section was an unexpected but important addition.
