 Kim and Shelton, are left behind following the Biblical Rapture. Their spouses are missing along with millions of others, according to the world news. The couple have heard of the Rapture at church when they've gone with her husband and his wife, best friends from way back before the Rapture. But Kim and Shelton aren't buying that theory till a black woman, named Sis' Shirley, meets them and angrily announces that after all she's done for her church she has missed the Rapture-- still she believes.

During the Tribulation period, after the Rapture, Kim & Shelton birth a son and name him Adam, because he's the first child they know of since the Rapture occurred. Isolated in the Southeast Georgia pine woods with just enough water and food to survive on, Kim has to breast feed 6 year old Adam.
