I had some trouble understanding the north eastern accent of the Yankee. Also the tone was not very clear. I think it is probably a very good production but I did have trouble understanding and hearing everything over the music as well.

Great story

I still own the Simon & Schuster audio cassette tape of this NBC Theatre production, and it is superior in many respects. In the Audible adaptation, there is a spot where the audio glitches out; as my 30+ year old cassette tape is still clear and intact, I don't see an excuse for audio glitches to be present in this version. If you can overlook what amounts to a ten second hiccough in the recording (fairly early on), this is a fun adaptation. NBC did a great job with the production, and Wally Maher makes an excellent Yankee.

Clever adaptation, but —
