Rusty I Bertrand is a retired educator with 32 years of experience in the public education system. He has a Master's degree in Administration from Lamar University with certifications in Health, Biology, Earth Life Sciences, Computer Technology, and Physical Education. His hobbies include gardening, playing the guitar, reading, writing, chess, and trying to keep up with seven very active grandchildren. He is actively involved in his church, the W-S Lion's Club, Texas Right to Life of Southeast Texas, and serves as a Chaplain in the Jefferson County Gideons organization. He and his lovely wife of 44 years live in Winnie, Texas.
