Patricia holds a degree in Psychology from the John F. Kennedy University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. A postgraduate degree in psychoanalysis and degree in Counseling (L.H.M.C.), in the State of New York. With over forty years of professional experience as a mental health professional. Patricia specializes in working with individuals, adolescents, and couples. Her extensive training in crisis management and disorders of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) make her a sought-after expert. Patricia led the Ground Zero support team for mental health during the terrorist attacks on the Jewish community in Buenos Aires, Argentina, (AMIA- 1994), and she severed professionally as a trauma team worker, in the attack on the Embassy of Israel in 1992. In 2001, following the terrorist attack on the Twin Towers in New York, Patricias skills were called upon to assisting victims and relatives of victims as a PTSD specialist. Patricia Szriftgiser is seen by her peers as an expert from her working with veterans, survivors of terrorist attacks, survivors of sexual abuse, women survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence. She has been featured on 60 minutes, CNN, NBC, and has published several articles in the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times. Philanthropy and service are pillars in Patricia’s life. She is the Founder and President of My Power Foundation, an NGO (501-C3). Patricia is a Member of the Psychology Coalition at the United Nations. She is also a board member of the Jewish Family Service and Children’s Center of Greater Clifton-Passaic, in New Jersey USA. Patricia's passion for high performance competitive athletics has led her to complete in fifty-five marathons, including five international marathons to date. Also competed in numerous Half Ironman 70.3 miles and Full distance Ironman 140.6 miles. Patricia is currently training for the Ironman World Championship in Kona-Hawaii to be held in 2022. Patricia's is also a professional skydiver, certified diver, yachtsman (American Sailing Association), instructor spinning tora, practices mountaineering and has reached the summit in the Lanin volcano, in the Argentine Patagonia.
