Nancy Gardner writes warm, twisty paranormal mysteries with a gothic edge and a touch of magic. Her debut novel, Dream Stalker, hit the shelves in June 2021 and is the first in a planned trilogy. It follows Lily Scott, a modern-day Salem witch who must use her ancestral gift of dream-walking to clear her daughter’s name after a shocking murder. As Lily hunts for the truth, she’s haunted by a dark force that stalks her dreams—and her waking life. Nancy’s short fiction has appeared in anthologies published by Level Best Books and Cornerstone Book Publishers. Her story “Death’s Door” appears in Malice Domestic 16: Mystery Most Diabolical and features Flo and Rose, two homeless best friends who find inventive ways to fight crime. Before becoming a mystery writer, Nancy worked as a software product manager and later as a technology teacher. She wrote extensively in both roles, producing business articles, plans, and educational content. These experiences now fuel her fiction with structure, curiosity, and emotional depth. Nancy and her husband, David, live in Lexington, Massachusetts, the birthplace of the American Revolution. They enjoy gardening, birdwatching—especially when cardinals and hummingbirds visit—and spending time with their children and grandchildren who live nearby. The next Dream Stalker novel is near completion.
