Jennifer Storm is an acclaimed author and advocate whose memoirs on trauma, addiction, and resilience have inspired readers around the globe. Survivor. Author. Victim’s Rights Expert. Advocate. Jennifer Storm is a nationally recognized victim advocate, author, and speaker with over two decades of experience in trauma recovery, addiction, and justice reform. A survivor of childhood sexual abuse and addiction, Jennifer has transformed her personal story into a lifelong mission of empowering others and fighting for victims’ rights. With more than 23 years in active recovery, Jennifer has worked on some of the most high-profile abuse cases in the country, including those involving Jerry Sandusky, Bill Cosby, the Catholic Church, and thousands of other survivors across her 20-year career as a victim advocate. From 2013 to 2021, Jennifer served as the Victim Advocate of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, appointed by both Governors Tom Corbett and Tom Wolf and unanimously confirmed by the state Senate. She remains the only person in Pennsylvania history to receive bipartisan appointments to that role. In this capacity, she represented the rights and interests of crime victims at the highest levels of government. Jennifer is the immediate past Board President of the National Crime Victim Law Institute and was sworn in as a member delegate for the American Correctional Association in 2021. She has received numerous national awards for her leadership and advocacy, including the Gail Burns Smith Award for Excellence in Victim Services and the Liberty Bell Award from the Dauphin County Bar Association. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Services from Penn State University and a Master’s in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. She also completed advanced studies in Human Resources and Dispute Resolution at Cornell University’s ILR School. Jennifer’s work has been featured widely in national media, including The Today Show, ABC World News with Diane Sawyer, CBS 48 Hours, The New York Times, Rolling Stone, People Magazine, The Washington Post, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Time Magazine, and The Advocate. In 2002, she debated Oliver North live on his syndicated talk show regarding LGBTQ rights.
