J.C. And here’s why: When a woman is being examined intimately by a male doctor, she has every right to feel royally humiliated—even if she tries to brush it aside by saying, “Oh, well, I’m not embarrassed. I mean, he’s a doctor…he’s seen it all before.” Perhaps, but deep down, she might very well be thinking: “Unlike being undressed in front of my partner, when I’m examined, I’m ordered to strip. I’m on a table, not a bed. The lights are incredibly bright. The doctor is spreading and penetrating my vagina with his fingers or other instruments. He’s probably even going to put his finger in my bottom, which is something I wouldn’t even let my partner do…especially with his finger! Yikes! That’s beyond unspeakable!” Yes, it’s pretty darned embarrassing if you think about it. But when it’s a medical exam, the doctor (real or bogus) is in total control, and the woman has little choice but to submit to his total authority (aka: “doctor’s orders”), no matter how degraded she may feel! And think about this: If a medical exam is already horrifically embarrassing, imagine how much worse it would be if the doctor were the woman’s son-in-law…or a former student…or her neighbor…or her best friend’s husband! Worse, what if it wasn’t even a real doctor at all but her boss, professor, or classmate? Egad! That would be mind-blowing for both parties! Or, what if this exam was being conducted in public—in a classroom, outdoors, in a corporate conference room, out on the open highway, or in a sports stadium? Equally mind-blowing! This is the kind of stuff that keeps J.C. up at night—dreaming up situations that would humiliate a woman to the nth degree—and if she’s lucky, make her feel really good, um, in the end!
