Thank you for being a reader. I firmly believe that, through the simple act of reading, you make the world a better place. I'm a Pushcart Prize-nominated writer, sea turtle activist, and Peace Corps mom emerita. During sea turtle season, I cruise the beaches with Florida's Volusia Turtle Patrol. I also volunteer with the Marine Science Center of Ponce Inlet. My second novel, SNAKES OF ST. AUGUSTINE was released by Regal House Publishing in September 2023. Find reviews here and on my website. wwwGingerPinholster.com. On August 25, 2026, Regal House will publish my third novel, THE TRAIN TO SANTA FE. My debut novel, CITY IN A FOREST, was published in September 2019. It received a gold award in the Florida Writers Association's 2020 Royal Palm Literary Awards competition. I earned my M.F.A. degree from Queens University of Charlotte and my B.A. in English from Eckerd College. In 2024, my short story, "Jumping Off," received a First Place in Fiction prize from Prime Number Magazine, which also nominated me for a Pushcart Prize. Another story, "What Snakes Do," was selected for inclusion in an annual print anthology of Pangyrus literary journal. My other work been published by Atticus Review, The Northern Virginia Review, Eckerd Review, Blackheart Magazine, Crab Fat Magazine, Gravel Magazine, and Dying Dahlia Review, and in the book Boomtown. I worked as a science writer for various nonprofits, most of my life. Long ago and far away, I was a journalist.
