After spending 30 years nurturing a dream—and expertly avoiding it—I finally sat down and wrote a book. It turns out that all those years of "creative incubation" (read: procrastination) finally paid off. When it came time to choose a subject, I didn’t overthink it. I wrote about what I know best: bartending and booze. Glorious, historic, complex, personality-filled booze. From absinthe to whiskey, if it can be poured, stirred, or sipped with a smirk, I've probably written about it. With zero interest in waiting for a big publishing deal (and even less patience), I dove headfirst into the wild world of self-publishing. Fast-forward a few caffeine-fueled months and several questionable cocktails later, and I now have a growing collection of books—each one lovingly handcrafted. So go ahead—pour yourself something nice, fire up your Kindle (or dust off that paperback shelf), and take a sip of my literary spirits.
