Born and raised in what used to be the rural farmland of Meridian, Idaho, Edgar 'Eddy' Coonkin is the grandson of a farmer on one side, and a WWII bomber pilot turned Earth Sciences teacher on the other. As such, he developed both a deep love of animals and pretty rocks, as well as an appreciation for the hardships of war. As the farmland that he knew and loved as a child became over-developed, ridiculously unaffordable residential housing, he found life circumstances relocating him to the dry and barren urban jungle of Las Vegas, where the primary cultural identity is "money." As a result, he longs to disappear into the forest and forget that other humans exist. His toxic trait is that he believes for certain that he will meet his end trying to pet some kind of wild, furry animal that he knows he probably should not. The more likely scenario, though, is that he will end up choking on a gummy bear. If he does, he hopes that his family and friends will simply agree to say that he was killed by a bear, and leave it at that. When he's not writing, posting nonsense on social media, or dealing with the "muggle" job, he enjoys using his skills as the love-child of Martha Stewart and MacGyver to craft miniatures out of trash, or submitting to the demands of his eight year old son to help him overcome his perpetual, never-ending boredom. This usually results in Eddy falling asleep on the couch with a game controller in his hands, because "what exactly did you want me to do in Minecraft, again?"
