I love being a wife, mother, and grandmother, but I also highly value my time spent alone, as well as my alone-time with God. I have a room of my own where I write and a chair where I sit and think...and listen to God! Even as a child I realized God had His hand on me. At twelve years old, I met Jesus one Sunday morning at the altar of the Methodist church my family attended in Alabama. From then on, I started reading my bible and seeking a deeper relationship with Jesus. At thirty-eight I had a life-changing experience with the Holy Spirit and began writing down some of the words I heard Jesus saying to me. These have now been published in a book of devotionals and poems entitled Come To The Waters. Having grown up in an academic atmosphere, I have always been interested in literature and the arts. I grew up reading, playing the piano, and have a degree in mathematics from the University of Alabama. After college I lived abroad for three years in Italy, and spent time raising my son and daughter after returning home. I have been active in prayer ministry for the past thirty-five years and also involved in further piano study and writing in various genres. My husband and I retired to the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina twelve years ago after living in Houston and Oklahoma.
