Bill D. Allen is a red-dirt, born and bred writer of fantasy, science fiction, horror and humor. His journey from wandering Oklahoma fields to becoming an author and adventurer speaks to a life shaped by a rough upbringing and diverse passions. Born in Norman, Oklahoma, Allen spent his early years exploring woods and fishing in backwater creeks, developing a deep connection to the natural world that would later influence his writing. Despite facing personal challenges, including time in foster care and public shelters, Allen survived and used his experience to create. His academic path took him through multiple educational institutions in Oklahoma and Missouri where he studied an eclectic mix of subjects including computer science, English, creative writing, fencing, judo and Tae Kwon Do. An avid motorcyclist, Allen has logged thousands of miles across America's most iconic landscapes, from the Grand Tetons to the Smoky Mountains. He is a certified member of the Iron Butt Association dedicated to long-distance riding, having completed multiple 1000+ miles in a single day on motorcycle. Allen's literary work spans multiple genres, from science fiction and fantasy to weird westerns. His portfolio includes the Reluctant War God series and science fiction works such as "Pirates of the Outrigger Rift" (with co-author Gary Jonas) and the sequel "Free Trader's Fortune", along with other novels, various short stories and essays drawn from his life experiences.
