Let me introduce myself. When asked who I am, my initial response is always, "I am a child of God." My given name is Leearlyn, but I go by Arlyn when I write. Born in 1952 during the baby boomer era, with Cheyenne Mountain as a familiar sight at home. Growing up, I enjoyed the warmth of family and developed a love for writing and storytelling. Like many, I left home and wandered, finding my way through California with the grace of the Lord for forgiving me. Moving from place to place, I worked in various jobs, including roughnecking in the Dakota Hills and serving in the Army. Now, I've settled down, with three grown children nearby. We honored their mother's memory by spreading her ashes as she wished after her battle with dementia. Retirement came just in time, sparing me from a potential health scare. Now, I have the opportunity to pursue my own passions. In January 2023, I began writing and eventually published my first book, the start of a supernatural fiction trilogy. Celebrating my 70th birthday, I felt immense joy sharing three published books at the local Farmers Market, a proud moment in my writing journey. As of now, three nonfiction works have been penned. I extend an invitation for you to immerse yourself in the words of someone my son affectionately calls "A Seasoned Individual."
