The audio of this book was freaking amazing! The narrator Jake Bordeaux gave these characters so much life with a full performance.
There is a beautiful story of finding love and yourself in the midst of uncovering a longtime grudge creating an enemies to lovers, hate to want you tale.
I love the dynamic of these characters and how they will continually surprise you.

🎧 Audio Review:

Completing a re-read by listening to Jake Bordeaux's performance of this book was just what I needed! Honestly, I cannot read a Rebecca Rathe book without hearing Jake’s voice in my head, but the actual experience blows it out of the water. Equal parts blushing and swooning, I fell in love with Marcus and Ashton even more than the first time.

This book was made for audio and is well worth the credit! So highly recommended!

📚 Story Review:

Loved!!

You know when you read a book that draws you in so deeply that you almost feel a sense of loss once you’re done? Yeah, I’m feeling it now. Ashton and Marcus’ story started out heartbreaking. Then, it became sweet and uplifting. Heavy to lighthearted. Dire to optimistic. It was an absolute pleasure to read.

Medium burn and spicy, it takes some relentless pressure and groveling by Ashton to earn his place by Marcus's side. For the hate to turn to love. Ashton needed to earn Marcus's forgiveness and prove his devotion.

This book is a complete standalone. It has a HEA that made me cry. Professions of love and devotion that made me cry. All happy tears.

I highly recommend it to MM sports romance lovers. The enemies-to-lovers vibe was spot on.

Thanks to the author for the audiobook and ARC.

This book was really enjoyable, and I almost didn’t finish because I thought it was going to come to its conclusion the way, so many MM romance books do. I’m not saying there was no drama in this book, but the conclusion could’ve been much more dramatic than it was. My one complaint is that I don’t think the sex scenes needed to be quite so long and drawn out, but other than that very enjoyable and I would recommend this book. Also, Jake Bordeaux was a great narrator. 4.5 out of five stars!

No unnecessary drama
