What could be better than selling lemonade to stave off the summer doldrums? Try swashbuckling adventure on the high seas! Captain Gabriel has done both before, the lemonade and the adventures, so he's pretty good at it despite the fact that he still has no idea what a swash even is, nor how one would buckle it. Never mind that -- he's setting sail with his quirky crew to embrace the unknown, including a magical unicorn and her warrior-girl companion, a harrowing side quest in search of the elusive "macguffin flower," and a crow-girl haunted by a curse.

Is the hidden treasure of Tesoro Island legend or legit? It's real, according to an old—and soggy—message in a bottle, which sends dragon prince Fuego off on a daring treasure hunt to the heart of the island itself. With his sister Oro the crow, he leads the crew of Explorers past the edges of the magic map and into the unknown.

When her little brother Gip touches the magic portal in the cave (which she *told* him was a very bad idea) and gets sucked into another world, 12.67-year-old Soryn has no choice but to dive in after him. On the other side, Gip isn't the only one who needs rescuing. The Hub that connects all the portals is in peril, and Soryn's Science might be the only hope for solving the puzzle. With the "help" of an annoying girl and her flying cat, Soryn finds out that saving the day with Science is the easy part. Friendships... are a lot more complicated.
