Carly Zimpleton

The ninth of May is Carly’s favorite day in the world: her birthday! Carly throws a big party in her backyard, and her mom makes sweet treats, grilled hotdogs, and Carly’s favorite, her signature blueberry cheesecake! Everything looks perfect, and her friends start arriving and bringing presents.

Carly Zimpleton loves colorful dresses, picking flowers, and...playing dodgeball! She might not look it, but she’s not afraid to work up a sweat. She’s both girly and sporty, and she doesn’t care who knows it! When her classmate Jimmy sneakily throws a ball at her during gym class, Carly retaliates in kind. She grabs the ball, throws it at Jimmy, and...almost hits her teacher right in the face!

Carly has been in love with the Olympics since she first saw the games on TV. Now that the Junior Olympics are coming back to her school, she is super excited! She starts to practice immediately, but after her accident last time, she’s convinced her favorite turquoise suit is bad luck. Her pink suit feels too tight and itchy. She just can’t stand it! Carly’s mom promises it’s just for practice. She’s been preparing something special for Carly to wear at the competition.... Carly can’t wait to see it! Will her new suit help her shine and win that gold medal at last?

Carly loves watching movies, especially when she goes to the cinema with her friends and family. Her mom says it will be a while until they can go to the movie theater again, but it’s okay. They’ve started having movie nights at home instead! On Friday, Carly reminds her friends that they are having a movie night the next day.
