    Today we're sharing Jen's newest episode from her nonprofit podcast, Case Uncovered. She tells the haunting story of the mysterious disappearance of Charlotte Heimann.

    In 1981, Charlotte Heimann vanished from Rochester, New York just weeks before completing her Ph.D. She’d overcome incredible odds, survived a serious accident, and worked tirelessly toward a better life for herself and her daughter. But just days after telling hospital staff she feared for her safety — Charlotte walked out of the Rochester Psychiatric Center and was never seen again...

    In December of a 1985 married couple Stephanie and Gary Gillette were found brutally murdered in their Corpus Christi Texas home. A main suspect would later emerge, but despite this Gary and Stephanie’s murders still remain unsolved to this day, we are going to discuss all of the happenings from this case, where it stands today and how Gary and Stephanie’s families have not given up the fight to find out what happened to them.

    Our friend Holly from the weekly true crime podcast, Crime with Holly, steps in to our feed today to share the story about Michelle Martinko. Cedar Rapids, Iowa was a safe place to raise a family in 1979. People trusted their neighbors, left their doors unlocked, and kids played outside until the streetlights came on. But all of that would change on December 19th, 1979 when 18-year-old Michelle Martinko was brutally stabbed to death. For 39 years the case would remain unsolved until genetic genealogy helped solve the mystery of who killed Michelle.
