  • Lie #2 - I am not enough.
    Jun 24 2025

Welcome back To the Table. Have you ever had this sense that maybe you just aren’t cut out for this (whatever it may be)? You get to a certain point in the work, and you think to yourself “this is a mistake”, “I don’t have what it takes to do this well”, or “I can’t keep going”. Well, here’s the truth: you can’t do it alone. Today we’re chatting with our dear friend Paula Harris, as we uncover the lie that the enemy whispers in our ear over and over and over again – you’re not enough. With Jesus, we are fully equipped to do whatever the Lord calls us to. We get to walk in freedom, knowing that we may not have the answers or the plan for how it will happen, but we have a relationship with the creator, who literally made us for the work he calls us to.

  • Restore, Confirm, Strengthen, & Establish
    Jun 17 2025

Welcome back To the Table. We’re pausing from our summer series to share a little bit of a “behind the scenes” look at the podcast. Our close friends and family get to see the podcast process in real time, but we thought we would share a little more with you. What was supposed to be a sneak peek into podcasting and what it looks like for us, we ended up chatting about the attacks of the enemy, the importance of encouragement, and a few other rabbit trails sprinkled in there too. To cut to chase: If the Lord has called you to it, he’ll give you exactly what you need to accomplish it. It just may not look, feel, or sound like you thought it would. Whether you find yourself on the mountain top or in a deep valley, there’s something here for you🤍

Psalm 119:10 - I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

Colossians 3:23-24 - Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

Galatians 6:9 - And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.

John 10:10 - The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

John 8:44b - ...He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

Psalm 55:22 - Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.

1 Peter 5:7-10 - casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

  • Saying "No" & Letting Go
    Jun 10 2025

Welcome back To the Table. Jenna & I are back to continue the conversation from last week. If you’re triggered by the title, so sorry 🙃 Saying “no” can be so tricky. We like to hold onto the control that “yes” gives us. But, if you’re anything like me, you know how hard it is to do something that you should have said “no” to. It’s weighty, burdensome, and exhausting. If the Lord has called you to it, he’ll give you exactly what you need to accomplish it. We can walk in freedom because the Holy Spirit lives within us, equipping us “with everything good that [we] may do his will” (Heb. 13:21).

    Show Notes 🗒️

2 Timothy 1:7 - for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

1 Corinthians 12:4-6,11 - Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone...All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.

Romans 12:4-6a - For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them...

Matthew 6:33 - But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

  • Lie #1 - I have to do it all.
    Jun 3 2025

Welcome back To the Table. AND welcome to our summerseries, the lies we believe and the truth to replace them. Our dear friend, Makenzie Williams, is joining us for this week’s conversation. We’re chatting about why we don’t have to do it all (I mean, we really can’t anyways) and how to live a life full of doing the things we need to do and letting go of what we can’t control – which is everything 😂 Big stuff we’re tackling here, but even more of a reason to talk about it. We all wrestle with this in some way, and I can say, it was encouraging to hear how other mamas are fighting against it. So, grab something to write with and come join us for this week’s episode.

  • Closing Doors & Growing Faith
    May 27 2025

Welcome back To the Table. We’re wrapping up a season, literally and figuratively. As the seasons change, and as we change, the Lord grows us. He reveals himself to us. He teaches us through his word and the wisdom of others. We’re not just laying the foundation of our faith, we’re building on it. We’re trusting him because he has always been faithful. We’re leaning into the Holy Spirit’s prompting because we’re getting better at listening – somewhat. We’re growing. He’s shaping us into what he wants us to be - who he wants us to become. So, changing seasons may be hard, but it is not for nothing.

Ephesians 3:14-21 - For this reason I bow my knees beforethe Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earthis named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

  • Changing Seasons
    May 20 2025

Welcome back To the Table. Life is always changing – “foreverything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven” (Ecc. 3:1). The Lord promises us the changing of seasons; they will continue as long as the earth is here (Gen. 8:22). Thankfully, that’s not the only promise – “I the Lord do not change” (Mal. 3:6). While everything around us continues to change, to take on new shape, to need new things, the Lord never changes. He is constant. Not only is He constant, but He is present. He’s with you. As you walk through whatever this new season brings, know that He has never and will never leave you or forsake you (Deut. 31: 6).

  • What Now?
    May 13 2025

Welcome back To the Table. In our last episode, we talked about suffering. It’s inevitable, unfortunately, but God promises to work out all our mess for his glory. We may not see the “worked out” end, but He promises, and we know He’s faithful. So what do we do now? How do we move forward? How do we love and encourage those around us who are suffering? Listen to this week’s episode to hear our take on these questions and more.

Isaiah 41:10 – fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Ps. 40:1-3 – I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry. He drew me up from the pit of destruction, out of the miry bog, and set my feet upon a rock, making my steps secure. He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord.

Proverbs 4:23 – Keep your heart with all vigilance, for fromit flow the springs of life.

Ps 119:11 – I have stored up your word in my heart, thatI might not sin against you.

John 14:27 – Peace I leave with you; my peace I give toyou. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

John 16:33 – I have said these things to you, that inme you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.

Hebrews 5:7-8 - In the days of his flesh, Jesus offeredup prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence. Although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered.

  • The Struggle is Real
    May 6 2025

Welcome back To the Table. After the last several weeks in our Bible study, admittedly, I’m not sure I remember how to do this podcast thing Today’s topic: struggles and suffering – is an “easy” one to jump into because we can ALL relate.

Life is far from perfect. I am far from perfect. So the situations and the circumstances of life reflect all that imperfection. We’re talking about some big questions. Why do bad things happen? Does God care? Is there hope? How do I get through? If you have ever found yourself in a situation where you are thinking (or asking) these questions, I hope this episode encourages you. The Lord knows all things. It (the world) wasn’t created this way. Sin spoiled the perfect goodness that the Lord originally intended for us. But that isn't the end of the story - there is hope.

John 16:33 – I have said these things to you, that inme you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Romans 6:23 – For the wages of sin is death, but the freegift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 Peter 5:7 – casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

Romans 5: 3-5 - Not only that, but we rejoice in oursufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

2 Cor 1:3-4 – Blessed be the God and Father of our LordJesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

Romans 8:26-28 – Likewise the Spirit helps us in ourweakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
