  • Episode 8 - Tom Rice (101st Airborne) WWII veteran interview (2/2)
    Dec 22 2020

Here's Episode #8 of Till Victory (a podcast about WWII and peace), and Part 2 of my conversation with world-famous veteran Tom Rice (501st PIR, 101st Airborne Division). On this day 76 years ago, Tom Rice was wounded in Bastogne, the belgian city made famous by the long and heroic stand of the 101st Airborne Division, surrounded by German units during the Battle of the Bulge. So we'll talk about that, of course, but we'll pick up where we left off, right after the Normandy campaign when the Screaming Eagles were getting ready for their next jump in Holland, "Operation Market Garden". If you're new to the podcast and haven't listened to Tom's part I yet, in which we talk about training, D-Day and Normandy, I suggest you start with the beginning!
