Think Forever

By: Joe Mayers
  • Summary

  • Welcome to Think Forever! This is a weekly storytelling podcast, where we learn about lesser-known characters from the Bible and church history. These are men and women who didn’t get a whole lot of “screen time,” but nonetheless had a massive impact. They are people who, at crucial moments in their lives, chose to live out their faith in light of eternity, even if it meant risking discomfort, danger, or death. They chose to think forever. After each story, we’ll have an interview style behind-the-scenes episode, where I’ll be joined by various guests to break down and discuss the stories we just heard. The idea of the show is that by digging deeper into the nuances of these stories, through the eyes of the characters involved, we can have a more comprehensive understanding of scripture itself. • "The Good Friday Monologues"
    Apr 18 2025

Today we have something very special for Good Friday that has been several months in the making. We have collaborated with two other organizations and several talented voice actors to bring to life a unique script called “The Good Friday Monologues.” This dramatic presentation follows Jesus from Gethsemane to Golgotha through the eyes of the people who were actually there. You will hear from the apostles John, Peter, and Judas. From Mary, the Mother of Christ, From Jesus himself, and many more.

We chose to honor the Lord’s sacrifice by telling the whole truth about his death. There are realistic descriptions of violence. If you generally listen to our show with young children, you may want to listen ahead to the crucifixion scene and decide if it is age appropriate. But if you are a believer, I urge you not to shy away it. Jesus died an excruciating death to save the world, and it does us good to take the time to reflect on the magnitude of his sacrifice.

Thank you for joining us today. Please enjoy “The Good Friday Monologues.”
