 In this book, a kid named Alex accidentally discovers that he can manipulate time. While he tries to keep it a secret, he is found out within days, and invited, or possibly manipulated, into attending a Superhero Academy in the middle of the Canadian Wilderness. That's right friends, I am finally doing it. I am finally writing the book that has been inside my head for 15 years now! You will notice elements of my past stories in it, because I borrowed many of them from this concept. Kid Wizard, for example, is based on an extreme version of this idea. In this book, a kid named Alex accidentally discovers that he can manipulate time. While he tries to keep it a secret, he is found out within days, and invited, or possibly manipulated, into attending a Superhero Academy in the middle of the Canadian Wilderness. I decided to do the first draft of each chapter in my usual fashion - directly into the microphone. I will then take the transcript and edit it into a more refined chapter. Want some time to yourself? This is how to make it happen! I make these bedtime stories up for my own children every night, so I figured I would record them. They are designed to give your child a simple, but somewhat interesting story to listen to. They are first person stories so kids can imagine themselves in the character’s shoes. They are mostly science fiction and fantasy based, because that’s what my kids like. Each episode is a 15-30 minute story followed by white noise to drown out distractions. The character always ends up back in bed, doing a short mindful relaxation exercise to help them off to sleep (if they aren’t there already). Get those kids to sleep!
