  • The modern day witch trial of Karen Read: classism, sexism, and ego
    Jun 25 2025

Karen Read was found not guilty of killing her cop boyfriend last week, but the online debate rages on. Did Karen do it, or was she framed by a group of police members and their families to cover for their crime? I say the latter. And it was only a mixture of classist and sexist stereotypes combined with out of control egos in the small town of Canton that ever led to her being charged to begin with.

  • The DARK underbelly of Paris Hilton's activism
    Jun 12 2025

Celebrity activists, while usually well intentioned, rarely have a systemic understanding of the causes they tout - and thus leave a lot of damage in their wake. Paris Hilton is no exception. Over the past couple of years, she has used her celebrity to shut down teen rehab facilities - and the consequences are dark.

Christina Buttons, an investigative reporter for the Manhattan Institute and a former troubled teen herself, spent time in the same facilities as Hilton and is exposing the holes in her work.

  • Misogyny is rooted in jealousy (here's the proof)
    Jun 4 2025

Are women gold digging, promiscuous wh*res playing men for trips, boats, and dinners? Or, is that what the men who hyperfixate on women would be doing if they had the ability to? I'm convinced most misogyny is rooted in projection and jealousy.

I'm dissapointed that audible doesnt let us comment on individual episodes.
kinda stupid, considering this is a continuing Podcast, and it would boost engagement. so Ill review one.

Each episode has hit the ball out of the park, but I love how youre tackling both current and historical examples of the US government choosing cronyism over true capitalism. I'm plant to find this on youtube and share "I Don't Think You Know What Capitalism Is.

Our current system of subsidy and corporate welfare is NOT what our founders intended. Regulation, too, is out of control, and most of them are passed not by elected officials of our legislatures but by unelected career bureaucrats of the various uncountable agencies and departments. but we seem to swallow interference by these careerists with little protest at the buzzwords "safety" and "quality assurance." when talking to friends and family about their feelings on regulation, they often tell me that theyre scared of large corps doing whatever they want, endangering employees, and ruining resources and land and waterways, but while they are the biggest violators of these rules, they save multiple millions in revenue by cutting corners and pay only hundreds of thousands in fines (when caught). the costs to them are NEVER equal to the costs to the public from the damages they cause. large corps/industry giants who themselves write the laws (who the news means when they say lawmakers are "partnering with industry leaders") often write in exceptions to the more burdensome requirements or penalties based on the size of the buisness or the number of people employed by it. this is target of these regulations are actually small buisnesses making small mistakes and buckle under the weight of fines, or make prohibitive the cost of aquiring the lisences and fees and permits required to begin a small buisness from the ground up.

don't be ashamed of being excited or emotional, Hannah! you said you got bit teary at the end of your show tonight, and I myself was at the other end of the spectrum-- all revved up, proud and angry both at what America as global and historic standard for opportunity, and the frequency with which bad actors have tried to exploit and "rig the game" to limit opportunities that favor those other than thenselves. I think youre right that cronyism isnt the unique plauge of capitalist nations, but the 19th century onwards is marks the first time the rigging of industry is taken advantage of by private billionares and private corporations rather than nobles and plutocrats, and its sad that in the 21st century we havent yet figured out how to put an end to the deal.

A Plus Plus on this episode.
