    The Graestone Manor Bed and Breakfast is a beautifully preserved Victorian mansion along the Erie Canal in Royalton, New York. Nestled in the quiet town of Gasport, this manor is a gem on the Niagara Wine Trail.

    Silas Newcomb, settled the property in 1833, planting apple and pear trees that still bear fruit today. Over the decades, the estate changed hands—from Silas’s son Albert to neighbors Horace and Harriet Chapin and then to Curtis Root in 1865. Root, a racehorse enthusiast, left a lasting legacy with his racetrack and the famed racehorse Hamiltonian.

    But beneath its historical facade, Graestone Manor harbors a world of the supernatural. Visitors have reported the sound of heated arguments, the echo of ghostly horse hooves, and the chilling sight of a woman's apparition at the window. Whispers of a mysterious vortex in the basement and shadowy figures wandering the halls add to the eerie atmosphere.
