For others, his treament of people is a violation of the promoise our country has made. For others the attack on deomocracy is a violation of promise we all made. Trump Has Pulled Us Into Authoritarianism with Military Deployment in US. Trump has accelerated authoritarian tactics by deploying military forces against U.S. citizens during protests, using federal agencies to arrest individuals without due process, and encouraging bans on books and academic speech he deems unpatriotic. His administration has supported defunding and dismantling programs that provide congressional oversight, while promoting loyalty tests for civil servants and suppressing dissent through intimidation and media discrediting. By centralizing power, threatening governors, and undermining democratic norms, Trump continues to erode the institutional checks that safeguard freedom in America.

Trump Attacks Americans on Memorial Day. A day reserved for recognizing the painful loss of life that our war and military service have inflicted on Americans, the president of the United States did not take the non-partisan approach of honoring the lives lost. He attacked, lied about, and demeaned fellow Americans. It was just another day in the most divisive Presidency in American history. Since Trump took office, he has led the most divisive presidency. Our nation has ever seen. He threatened governors, vilified judges, took bribes from foreign autocrats, stripped funding from our institutions of higher education and programs that help those in need of food assistance in this country and medical care here and around the world, targeted immigrants, shredded our constitution, eroded our Democratic norms.

Trump has attacked the credibility of Military Generals, the Press, Judges, Politicians, Average Americans, and now is spending his time as Commander in Chief attacking musicians.

These are the actions that political "strong men" make; he consistently acts like one. What does all this mean for faith and politics in the US and globally?
