  • Daily Review with Clay and Buck - Apr 23 2025
    Apr 23 2025
Terrible Trans Agenda Hour 1 of the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show dives into a range of pressing topics, starting with discussions on Trump's economy and his evolving stance on trade deals with China. The hosts speculate whether Trump's approach is genuine or a strategic head fake. They also highlight Border Czar Tom Homan's significant contributions to the Trump administration, particularly in deportation efforts and combating the Kilmar Abrego Garcia Martyrdom industrial complex. The conversation shifts to Elon Musk and the challenges Tesla faces with its profits, suggesting Musk might refocus on his core businesses. Market updates are provided, noting the stability and performance of the Clayfolio. The hosts then address the Democratic Party's internal struggles, including the Biden dementia cover-up and the ongoing push for the trans agenda, emphasizing the impact of the Supreme Court's composition on these issues. Covid-19 remains a hot topic, with discussions on school shutdowns and the detrimental effects on disadvantaged children, which was outlined by guest David Zweig on Tuesday's show and his book "An Abundance of Caution: American Schools, the Virus, and a Story of Bad Decisions." The hosts criticize Randi Weingarten's role in the prolonged closures and her attempts to rewrite history. We Are Pro-Book, But... They also touch on the Supreme Court's recent arguments regarding controversial books in schools, uniting parents across religious lines in opposition to certain content. The show features a segment on parental involvement in education, stressing its importance over financial resources. The hosts argue that teachers' unions are a malignant force in children's education and advocate for the elimination of public sector unions for teachers. They also discuss the need for more children and family formation, highlighting the role of parents in educational success. The hour concludes with a critique of the gender ideology being taught to young children, questioning the necessity and appropriateness of such content. The hosts argue that this indoctrination is part of a broader agenda to reshape societal norms and emphasize the importance of parental vigilance in educational matters. Interior Secretary Doug Burgum Clay and Buck interview Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum. Burgum shares his unique experience at Michael Jordan's basketball camp, providing a personal touch to the conversation. The focus then shifts to Burgum's role and priorities as Interior Secretary, emphasizing energy dominance and the importance of domestic energy production. Burgum highlights the vast resources managed by the Interior Department, including 500 million acres of surface land and 700 million acres of subsurface land rich in minerals and energy sources. The conversation delves into the climate change debate, criticizing the Biden administration's policies that restrict domestic energy production, leading to increased reliance on foreign oil and gas. Burgum argues that U.S. energy production is cleaner and more efficient and reducing domestic output harms both the environment and national security. The discussion also covers the significance of rare earth minerals, essential for technology and defense, and the need to boost domestic mining to reduce dependence on China. The hour concludes with a poignant segment on the renaming of a U.S. Fish and Wildlife refuge in honor of Jocelyn Nungaray, a young girl tragically killed by illegal immigrants. The renaming underscores the Trump administration's commitment to secure borders and public safety. The Trump Track Record Trump's trade policies, particularly his stance on China and the European Union. Trump asserts that the days of the U.S. being taken advantage of in trade deals are over, and he aims to make substantial economic gains for the country. The hosts discuss the complexities of negotiating with China and the importance of fair trade practices. A lot of politicians aren't concerned with doing what's right. They're concerned with doing what gets them elected. A notable segment covers the shouting match between Elon Musk and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent in the West Wing, illustrating the intense passion and disagreements within the Trump administration. The hosts speculate on Musk's frustration with the slow pace of government operations compared to his private sector ventures. Less ego, More Thoughts than Rush

Less ego, more thoughtful analysis than Rush (in the same radio time slot), although maybe not as funny. Destined the poke the libs in a different way. I try to listen on my way to work and between meetings, managing mostly to catch the commercials between segments. I love the podcasts to catch up on what I miss the day before.

Racial Equity and Crime?

I found it very disrespectful to have ads for racial equity and a crime show just before Rush’s wife does his eulogy-like talk on the day of his death. Just edit the recording, how lazy can you be?

Great data driven show that doesn't bend the knee

Find the data the MSM leaves out of its arguments. They know what is a fact and what is an opinion.

Watch out for leftist Audible

I love these guys, I listen a few times a week, However, I have to manually do a search every time because audible will not let me follow this particular podcast for some reason. I follow others, but curiously, I can't follow a nice conservative one? I'm sure it has nothing to do with Amazon's political agenda or leanings. I'm sure it's an honest to God glitch.

informative and entertaining

provides interesting insight and commentary on the news of the day from a non-left wing perspective. One a really smart guy, the other kind of a doofus, but they're funny together. I'll let you figure out who's who.
