Wakes are worse when seasoned with vengeance. Donn Byrne, today on The Classic Tales Podcast.

Brian Oswald Patrick Donn-Byrne, who lived from 20 November 1889 – 18 June 1928 was an Irish writer. A fair amount of his career was in America, but in his later years, his financial straits forced him and his wife Dorothea to return to Ireland.

The pacing and prose of today’s story really called to me. The gentle stream of consciousness pacing of a man’s mind when his wife has died, and his contemplations really seemed appropriate for this time of year.

Great performance

I have listened to B. J. Harrison I think for ten years and his performances have always been top notch. I have an audible subscription and have for several years and still listen to his stories more than audible.
Thank you B.J.

Awesome with my afternoon tea!

Love listening to BJ Harrison and discovering the best of classic literature. The chosen stories are captivating with a decent amount of humor.
