Day 10 at Wimbledon 2025 delivered thrilling quarterfinal action across the men’s and women’s singles draws. In the men’s quarterfinals, Novak Djokovic overcame a brief scare after slipping on match point to defeat Flavio Cobolli in four sets, 6-7, 6-2, 7-5, 6-4, earning his 14th Wimbledon semifinal appearance. Jannik Sinner, in commanding form despite earlier elbow issues, dispatched Ben Shelton 7-6, 6-4, 6-4 to set up a blockbuster semifinal against Djokovic. There was also a surprise retirement announce from another Italian - Fabio Fognini - on site after his whirlwind performance earlier in the tournament against Carlos Alcaraz.

On the women’s side, Iga Swiatek reached her first Wimbledon semifinal with a solid win over Liudmila Samsonova, 6-2, 7-5. Joining her is Belinda Bencic, who edged out rising star Mirra Andreeva in two tight tiebreaks, 7-6, 7-6, continuing her impressive return to form as a new mother - but should this really be the narrative? Day 8 delivered drama and breakthroughs at SW19. Join Joel and Kim as they wrap up the day’s proceedings at Tennis Weekly HQ. Novak Djokovic clawed back from a 1–6 opening set to defeat Alex de Minaur in four, sustaining his run toward a record 25th Major. Jannik Sinner, despite trailing two sets, advanced after Grigor Dimitrov heartbreakingly retired with a pectoral injury—a win Sinner called bittersweet. Meanwhile, Ben Shelton and Italy’s Flavio Cobolli secured their first-ever quarter-final spots with impressive victories over Lorenzo Sonego and Marin Čilić.

On the women’s side, Belinda Bencic made a strong post-maternity return by upsetting seeded Ekaterina Alexandrova, Mirra Andreeva became the youngest quarter-finalist since 2007 with a compelling win over Emma Navarro, and Iga Świątek continued cruising past a below-par Clara Tauson. Liudmila Samsonova also sent the young Spaniard Jessica Bouzas Maneiro packing in two tight sets.

Day 7 of Wimbledon and the quarterfinals are shaping up with Carlos Alcaraz defeating Andrey Rublev to extend his unbeaten run at Wimbledon to 18. He will face another tough test in Cam Norrie who won an epic in possibly the match of the championships against Nicolas Jarry in 5 sets on Court One. Needless to say home hope Cam will have to trade his favourite court one for Centre court to face the two time defending Champion in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon. Also making it through to the quarterfinals stage is Karen Khachanov and Taylor Fritz. Fritz playing just 10 games before Jordan Thompson was forced to retire through injury. Fritz will be hoping to go one better and make the Wimbledon semifinals after bowing out at this stage last year to Lorenzo Musetti.

On the women’s side, it is still very possible that another American woman might pick up a grand slam title after Amanda Anisimova set up match against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova who dashed British hopes by defeating Sonay Kartal despite the line calling system going down and going against the more seasoned competitor. World Number 1, Aryna Sabalenka who took out her former doubles partner Elise Mertens in round 4 and will face veteran Laura Siegemund in the quarters. Sabalenka will be hoping to add a Wimbledon title to her collection after missing the championships through injury last year.

Wimbledon Day 6 is in the books — join Kim and Chris as they reflect on another milestone day for Novak Djokovic, who glided into the fourth round and notched his 100th match win at Wimbledon on Centre Court. Jannik Sinner also enjoyed a comfortable win, cruising past an injured Pedro Martinez, while Marin Cilic continued his strong grass-court form. Grigor Dimitrov reached his own milestone with his 100th Grand Slam match win, and the ever-consistent Alex De Minaur booked yet another second-week Slam appearance - he’s now reached the last 16 in 7 of the last 8 Slams.

It was a dramatic day on the women’s side too, sparking debate among the team: is Iga Swiatek now the favourite from the bottom half of the draw to reach the final? And what’s with all the pasta and strawberries? There were tears as defending champion Barbora Krejcikova fell to Emma Navarro, guaranteeing an eighth consecutive new women’s champion at Wimbledon. Why is it so hard to defend the women’s title? The team weighs in. Meanwhile, hot favourite Elena Rybakina was also sent packing by Clara Tauson, seemingly unsettled by her No. 2 Court assignment. Should she have been on Centre or No. 1 Court — and should it have made a difference? Whilst teen sensation Mirra Andreeva breezed through to R4 to get the team thinking just how influential it is to have a previous champion in Conchita Martinez by your side.
