About this listen
Today on the T1Determined Podcast, I dive into my personal story of climbing Mt. Washington in New Hampshire alone in the heart of winter conditions, experiencing minus 40 degrees, which is the temperature point where Farenheight and Celsius are interchangeable. I read this story in the style of an audiobook, and though it has been over four years since I’ve accomplished this climb, I look back at blood glucose data, GPS tracking data, and archived records to try my best to provide you with accuracy of the real event.
First, we will go through the introduction to the story, setting the scene on what drove me to attempt Washington alone in such treacherous conditions. Then, we will take a quick detour to discuss my recent research on growth hormone in Type-1 Diabetes. After that, we will get back to the adventure to experience subarctic temperatures together. This is a jam-packed episode with lots of actionable items. I’m excited for you to be on this adventure with me.
As we build this podcast from the ground up and face every slope head-on, your support is crucial for our continued growth. Wherever you're listening, please share this episode and others with anyone you think might benefit.
