Although psychopathic personality (psychopathy) has traditionally been regarded as a largely or entirely malignant condition, some scholars have contended that psychopathy, or at least some of the traits associated with it, may be tied to successful outcomes in some vocations or avocations, such as politics, business, military combat, and high risk-sports.
