For a long time this situation hasn't changed, but recently tides have turned, not on a revolutionary level, but it has begun. In this episode of Staying Indian Podcast - with our guest @sanyogeetalawande7624 we have discussed an overview on women in tech. Sanyogeeta has started a community of women in tech living in the US. She shared her journey. Along the path she noticed a few things about Women in Tech which inspired her to go on a hunt for women role models in the technology sector. Eventually she found some and she has been inspiring various women to pursue careers in tech. Also she has shared the challenges as being Indian women, she faced over the period of time in the USA. She also shared comments on women mentality and how changing it will help women grow in their respective fields. She mentioned that the hiring rate for women has increased in recent times but the growth in career for women in tech is not as good as men in tech, as a result women leave jobs in tech by age of 35. Since the pandemic, working from home has become common, which helped women a lot for doing house chores while managing their jobs but simultaneously increased household responsibility.
