On the original version of this episode, Kamil was listed as the murderess. After deeper reflection and feedback from multiple affected parties, including Kamil, we acknowledge that this is a mistake and one that caused great harm. In an effort to right this wrong, and to assert that Kamil is indeed a victim in this situation, the “murderess” and entity responsible for this death has been changed to the Kappa Sigma Chapter of DST. Though true crime is an entertainment industry, we do not hold lightly that we are talking about people’s real lives and loved ones and that our work can have real consequences. As such, we want to apologize for the harm caused by this misstep. When we make a mistake, we will always do our best to listen and find a better way forward. I have listened to other true crime podcast, but they have nothing on this podcast. The young women who host this podcast are down to earth and passionate about telling stories of African American women who have killed. They tell a story from the perspective that other podcast cannot. They also seek out AA women stories, so that our voices are heard.

I came across this podcast and THIS IS THE PODCAST I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR!!! True Crime where hosts are about abolition rather than fake justice. The hosts have great voices and the flow makes you feel like you’re just hanging out. And can I say I am SO impressed with the quality for new podcasters! Made for it! I found yall on Tiktok, and I've been hooked ever since. Thank you for the hard work and research that go into each episode. A lot of these cases I've never even heard of. The Assata Shakur is my favorite so far. Job well done, ladies!

Hey MaRah & Taz. I got put on this pod cast about 3 months ago. I’m crazy about it so I would only allow myself to listen while I’m at work so it can last longer. 😂 which worked. if you haven't checked out their cases, do! these ladies have a knack for telling a story. this is a great podcast I have been hooked and binged every episode now I'm frustrated having to wait for each episode but that's a good struggle to have.
