  • Let’s Go Out
    Jul 11 2025

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

In Matthew 9, Jesus says, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” It’s easy to get caught up in church programs and forget—we’re also called to go out. Pastor Manat from Indonesia shared how many churches—including theirs—grow inward, focusing only on existing members while ignoring the lost. But recently, God stirred something powerful in his heart. He joined thirty other pastors and leaders from twelve churches for an one of our evangelism discipleship trainings in Parapat. They were equipped—and sent out! Together, they shared the Gospel with 88 high school students and 31 future pastors in training. They saw the Holy Spirit move and many place their trust in Jesus. The harvest is ready. And you don’t have to wait—you can be equipped to share your faith today! Let’s go into our communities with the Gospel. Visit our website at sharelife.today.

  • Growing and Going
    Jul 10 2025

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

Being a follower of Jesus means being a lifelong learner—continually growing, being discipled, and equipping others to do the same. Our sanctification—becoming more and more like Jesus—doesn’t stop after one lesson or one experience; it’s our daily commitment to grow deeper in our faith by reading the Bible, praying, worshipping God, fellowshipping with other believers, and sharing the Gospel with those around us. Recently, at Lomasson Alliance Bible College in the Philippines, 43 seminary students from 37 churches took an evangelism discipleship training to help them learn how they could share their faith. They then went into their community to share the Gospel with 84 people—80 of whom made decisions to follow Jesus! Praise the Lord! Let’s be intentional and make investments in our spiritual growth. Whether you’re just starting or have been walking with Christ for years, you can begin today. • A Day Off
    Jul 9 2025

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

What if one day off could lead to a lifetime of impact? In Timor Leste, a group of pastors and children’s leaders decided to spend their free day not on rest—but on mission. These faithful Indonesian leaders chose to be equipped through a Hope For Kids training through our ministry, which is a children’s evangelism discipleship curriculum. Their goal? To learn how to share the Gospel clearly and confidently—and to disciple the next generation in their churches and communities. And they didn’t just attend—they engaged. With open hearts and eager minds, they practiced how to present the Gospel in a way children can understand. Their decision to be trained means the kids in their care will not only hear the Good News—but learn how to share it with others too. Let’s use our time for something that truly matters. Let’s start sharing the Gospel and discipling the next generation for Jesus. For resources to help you get started, visit our website at sharelife.today.

  • Gan Shuo’s Training
    Jul 8 2025

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

Why is it so important to be equipped to share our faith? Because the opportunity to lead someone to Christ can come when we least expect it—and we need to be ready. Gan Shuo from Malaysia joined a Hope for Kids workshop just to support the Sunday School ministry. But through that training, God gave Gan a new burden: to personally share the Gospel with each of the 12-year-olds in the class—before they drift away in their teen years. During on-the-job training, Gan had the chance to share the Gospel with a student who didn’t speak Mandarin well. But because Gan had been trained—and had support from a senior trainer—the Gospel was clearly presented in English. That child prayed to receive Christ! That moment was a clear reminder: when we’re trained and willing, God will use us. Don’t wait until you feel ready—get equipped, and let God do the rest. Need help getting started? • Diverse Asia
    Jul 7 2025

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

This summer, we’re hearing stories from around the world, and this week, Asia is our spotlight continent! And even though Asia has a land mass of almost thirty percent of the Earth, they have 60% of the world's population. They are very diverse having 44% of the world's people groups with very different cultures and languages! By God’s grace, we’ve come alongside local churches to disciple Christians on how to share their faith with the people around them in all of Asia. And last year, by the grace of God, there were over twenty million people who heard the Gospel in Asia and worldwide through Christians learning how to share their faith. And what's incredible is that our Asian brothers- and sisters-in-Christ are not only sharing the Gospel in their own communities, but they’re also sending missionaries to other parts of Asia and the world. Want to learn how you, too, can share your faith? For resources to help you get started, visit our website at sharelife.today.

  • For God and Country
    Jul 4 2025

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

"If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I’ll hear from heaven, and I’ll forgive their sin and will heal their land." This promise from God found in 2 Chronicles gives us such hope—even in a time where hope is scarce in our country. But here's the truth: God is faithful; He keeps His promises. So, we must humble ourselves, pray, and seek His face. We must turn from our wicked ways and repent of our sins. That's the power of the Gospel. When we place our trust in Jesus alone and turn from our sins, when we accept Jesus as the Lord and Savior of our lives...everything changes. And when this happens in a person after person, well...our culture and country changes. It heals as we’re healed. So let's not delay—let's share the Gospel. • A Community Impact
    Jul 3 2025

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

Things change when a community comes together. We see this time and time again in our neighborhoods, cities, and country. And this very same principle applies to telling others about Jesus. We’re stronger together. In Namibia, Africa, this is happening all across the country. But I'd love to share with you an example of the local churches. They came together for an evangelism training event for children's workers, where they taught Hope For Kids, a program that disciples children to share their faith. And then, they took it back to their churches and started implementing it. And children in the community's lives started to change. And through that, the community started to change. This was all because Christians like you and me decided to come together and make an impact. And these believers were part of over 4 million children hearing the Gospel this past year worldwide. And we praise God for that! For more on how you can learn to share your faith, visit sharelife.today.

  • Not In My Country
    Jul 2 2025

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today.

I met a pastor a few years ago who told me that evangelism doesn’t work anymore. He told me you can’t go and talk to people because the culture doesn’t approve. Do you know where this pastor was from? The African nation of Zambia. Unfortunately, that is a common statement we often hear around the world. However, I asked this pastor if he’d be open to come to a training near his home in Zambia and test his theory. Well, during that week, the Gospel was shared with 234 people with 158 giving their lives to Christ. Needless to say, he not only had a change of heart but a renewed passion for sharing the Gospel. And this is what we want to happen in our country. Sharing the Gospel is still effective. People are open to hearing the Good News of the Gospel…so let's share!
