  • The party arrives in Emberwood after a long caravan journey and visits the Gilded Lily tavern. They meet Karen Alsberg at the Bark and Buzzard inn, who offers them lodging in a cottage. While heading to their new accommodations, they encounter a group of street children attempting to rob them. The party members, including Jimothy (halfling rogue), Cordelia (tiefling ranger), Vurlin (aasimar druid), Valeria (half-elf sorcerer), and Chester (tabaxi barbarian), use various tactics to subdue and interrogate the children.


    Valeria demonstrates her magical abilities by casting Sorcerous Burst on a nearby building. After the confrontation, the party settles into their rented cottage, which is dusty and sparsely furnished. They discuss watch rotations for the night, with Verlin taking first watch and his hawk familiar, Helix, roosting inside. The session ends with the party preparing for their first night in Emberwood, anticipating their eventual journey to Drakkenheim.
