About this listen
On June 28, 2004, Wayne and Mary Hale, an elderly couple, would be awakened by the smell of chlorine gas. A nearby train had derailed and deadly fumes were quickly spilling into their home. Emergency services would take 7 hours to arrive. This couple survived solely because of their own tenacity.
