  • Feeling Behind in Life? Let's Talk Relationships, Career, and Being Queer
    Jul 3 2025

This week’s episode was inspired by a DM I received from a listener who opened up about feeling behind in life when it comes to romantic relationships and their career. Their vulnerability really stuck with me, because it’s such a common feeling, and one I know all too well.

When I was coming to terms with my sexuality, I truly felt like I was on a different timeline than everyone around me — like I was playing catch-up while others were moving forward to certain "milestones." When it came to my career, I struggled with the pressure to stay on a “safe” path for financial stability, instead of following my passions.

In this episode, I talk about real pressures we all face and how we can unlearn them — the ones that weigh especially heavy on millennials and the queer community. Whether it’s feeling behind in love, unsure about your job, or just questioning your timeline, you’re not alone. Let’s unpack the myth of "feeling behind" and explore what it means to align with your true path.

Rebecca opens up about the emotional landscapes that shaped Antibody, how they navigate vulnerability as both a writer and a person, and why queer voices matter—especially in poetry.

Trigger Warning: This episode includes discussions of trauma, SA, and other sensitive topics. Please take care while listening.
